Comfort and Space for Every Guest

Bayfield House isn’t fancy or fussy—it’s spacious, relaxed, and full of charm.

The kind of house where muddy boots at the door are expected, the kettle’s always on, and there’s always a good spot to sit with a book or a glass of wine.

Whether you’re here for a week of exploring or a weekend of doing absolutely nothing, the house is yours to settle into.

Bayfield comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests, spread across six bedrooms, with plenty of shared spaces to come together or find your own quiet corner.

From the big old kitchen at the heart of the house to the bright garden room with views across the orchard, every room is designed to feel welcoming, lived-in, and warm.

Bedrooms

Bayfield has six bedrooms spread across the ground and first floors, each with its own character and views of the house, gardens or surrounding countryside. They’re proper farmhouse bedrooms — comfortable, generous and unfussy, with plenty of space to unpack and settle in.

With rooms on both floors, Bayfield works particularly well for extended families and groups of friends travelling together. Some bedrooms have their own bathrooms, while others share — and there are plenty of quiet corners around the house when you fancy a little time to yourself.

Shared spaces

Bayfield House is made for gathering and spending time together. The generous sitting and dining spaces, cosy corners and tucked-away reading spots give everyone room to come together — or disappear somewhere quiet for a while.

With comfortable sofas, a wood-burning stove and windows looking out across the gardens and Galway Bay, these are the spaces where mornings begin slowly, evenings stretch on, and everyone seems to naturally come together after a day out exploring.

Garden and grounds

Step Outside: Bayfield sits within three acres of gardens, orchard and open fields, with the Burren hills on one side and Galway Bay stretching out on the other.

There’s plenty of room to find your own favourite spot — morning coffee outside, lunch in the sunshine, children running around the garden, or an evening wander down through the fields towards the sea.

And tucked away in the orchard are two of our newest additions: a wood-fired barrel sauna and wood-fired hot tub, both looking out across the fields towards the water. Light the fires, let everything warm up and settle in — particularly lovely as the sun goes down or after a long day walking the Burren.

It’s peaceful, wonderfully private and just a little bit wild — exactly as we like it.
