Bayfield House is beautiful. I became engaged here
on November 19 on the stone terrace out back. What a
dream come true! Ireland and particularly Bayfield House
will always have a special place in my heart now. I
can’t wait to come back. Thank you very much for
sharing your lovely home with us!

Bayfield was a big hit, weather glorious & rotten
both, made no difference the home was wonderful, the
perfect base. The invisible but ever present Kennas
are high in our estimation evermore for creating &
sharing such an idyll. We will certainly be back.
Mr H, Dublin, Ireland
What a wonderful visit. Been here a week and feel like
we are just beginning to relax and enjoy all this beautiful
home had to offer us. With only a week we have spent
far too much time running about the Burren. Glad the
rain finally forced us in yesterday. Best of Bayfield
for me – I love this kitchen! Thank you so much
for all the equipment that supports serious cooks such
as myself! In short, we are so glad we found you and
look forward to coming again!

This
was our first trip to Ireland. It was in celebration
of our father’s 70th Birthday. We wanted something
very special and very family orientated. Bayfield was
the perfect spot! The accommodation was perfect for
our large adult family. We loved the fact that the late
night owls could be in one area of the house without
upsetting the earlybirds. Thank you for opening up your
wonderful Bayfield to us. This is a trip we shall never
forget as it is now a part of our family’s memories.
Mrs B, Vermont, USA
We love this house – we keep finding rooms. My
favourite place is upstairs on the couch by the window.
I like to read there – and it’s a great
place to hide from the children……if I were
so inclined. We’ve explored from Kilkee to Inisheer
to Bunratty – our only complaint is that we didn’t
have enough time here, enjoying the peace of Bayfield
House.
Mrs C from Connecticut, USA
Our first trip to Ireland and we couldn’t have
found a better place to stay. Bayfield House felt like
home and we all felt unbelievable sadness when leaving.
We have definitely decided that we need to stay longer
than 1 week!! Thank you to the Kenna family for sharing
your home – until next time….
Mrs B from Philadelphia, USA
The
island was Ireland, the county was Clare
The coast was the west coast, craggy and bare,
They call it “The Burren” and it felt in
a way
Much like the scenery of Georgian Bay.
We bought sweater, followed signposts, ate garlic in
brine
Drank Smithwicks, toured caves, bathed in sunshine.
Woke to crows & cows, saw sheep in far reaches
Awed at cliffs & clouds, dug cockles on beaches.
The roads, the rocks, the walks and the fences,
The fiddlers fiddling – the punts and the pences.
The tides, the towns, the freckly faces,
Will make me think of all these fine places.
The peace of the country – How people behave,
They never pass by you without a small wave.
The friends and the faces, the Flaggy Shore,
I am certainly certain we’ll come back here once
more.
