Such a beautiful place. Maxx is wonderful to work with and the farmhouse encompasses exactly what I imagined when considering Ireland for our honeymoon. Highly recommended! 5 stars!

This was a 3-generation family gathering, so 10 adults (20-70), 2 teens, and 3 children (11, 9, 3). There are two excellent gathering spaces, one big enough to accommodate all 15 comfortably when necessary--and we squeezed 15 around the table for some meals--and a smaller room with a large TV, which we designated as the devices room in order to keep the larger room device-free. Communication with the owner was quick and always helpful. We slept comfortably. The grounds are beautiful and spacious, accommodating a few family football matches; the Flaggy Shore is a short walk away and endlessly fascinating, leading on to a scenic one-lane coast road great for walking. While we used Bayfield House as our base for exploring the greater Burren area, down to Ennis, across to Miltown Malbay, and up to Doolin and Ballvaughan, really you wouldn't need to do much more than wander the little peninsula west of New Quay to have a rich and relaxing holiday. And it starts with Bayfield House.

Lovely comfortable house in a delightful setting. Lots of helpful information and instructions made it easy. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside and the Flaggy Shore. Great local produce and seafood. And we made friends with the lovely cows and calves just over the fence! It's a great house and location for a large family gathering. I recommend it highly.

Top notch experience. Max was very easy to communicate with and answered immediately with the lone question I had. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with gear, and the outdoor area really made it a special stay. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. 3 minute walk to a art gallery/cafe, 4 to the beach, 5 to a restaurant/bar. If this place is available don't screw around, just book it.

We spent a lovely week over Xmas at Bayfield House. Beautiful location and property with lots to see and do within an hour’s drive. The owner was always quick to respond before and during the stay, and very helpful with suggestions for activities, restaurants etc. He went above and beyond to proved a Xmas tree with lights to help us celebrate the holiday. I highly recommend Bayfield House for any large group looking to enjoy Clare and Galway.

Bayfield House is located on the beautiful Flaggy Shore, in the heart of the magnificent Burren - perfect for daily walks and hikes. The house is warm and welcoming, with lots of space for our party of 14 - adults and teenagers. We could all gather together comfortably in the large living and dining room, and those who wanted a quiet reading or chatting space also found many a cosy corner. Special touches include the wood-burning stove in the living room, the reading room on the first-floor landing, and the Christmas tree and lights provided by our host on request. We will definitely be back!

I cannot overstate how amazing Bayfield house is. Our multi-generational family was perfectly at home in the generous layout of the house. The annex provided a quiet and separate space for our children to have fun while the adults relaxed in the great room. Every room was appointed nicely, and the en suite bathrooms were wonderful. Everything in the kitchen is labeled well which was helpful while moving about. The outside space is just phenomenal. The yard is perfectly maintained, and I cannot describe the sense of peace that surrounds you while sitting outside. It is perfectly situated- there is a darling gallery/coffee/wine shop at the end of the road, and the Galway Bay beach is just a few yards away. Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, the Cliffs of Moher, and Doolin, with all they have to offer, are all within a 45 minute drive. The owner, Maxx, was incredibly kind and helpful and answered any questions we had very promptly. I cannot overstate what a wonderful holiday we had. Thank you, Bayfield House!

Bayfield House was amazing. It was welcoming and comfortable for all 15 family members. Each bedroom and bath en suite was clean and cozy. The family room was huge with plenty of seating. A large farmhouse table sat almost all of us. Loved the little reading nook on the second floor with fabulous views. The grounds were lovely and we had family pics taken on the grounds. Short walk to the bay, Linanne’s restaurant and a relaxing stroll on the roads. Kinvarra is 15 minutes away for market shopping. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. Highly recommend.

This was my third stay at the Bayfield House! My wife and I love it there. New Quay and the Flaggy Shore are so peaceful and relaxing and the house is so comfortable and accommodating. The location is great, with easy access to, among other things, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, and Galway. In addition, the owner, Max Kenna is so responsive and helpful! We plan to return!

We just loved the property so much. Great access to the beach and the Flaggy Shore, and convenient to have Linnane's Restaurant so close by. So much to do. Fab garden for playing all sorts of family games and BBQ. Lovely neighbours (the cows 😄) which is lovely. A short walk to lovely quiet flaggy beach and the lovely Russell art gallery for a lovely morning coffee. All the bedrooms sooo cosy, nice warm shower after a day travelling the burren. Lovely cycles from house so great to bring bike and safe for kids to cycle near flaggy beach. All and all fabulous location and house.

My parents, two siblings and our families stayed at Bayfield House (11 of us) for a family reunion in Ireland. Owner Max was a pleasure to deal with - he was extremely responsive to emails and offered loads of wonderful recommendations for local activities, entertainment and dining. The house is large and well designed out for a large group. It is clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked and we used it to cook wonderful meals with local farmer's market finds and seafood. In mid June, it was still quite chilly in the evenings, but there is also a nice BBQ and outdoor seating area with beautiful views - including the odd cow strolling by! The location is a perfect for exploring the nearby Flaggy Shore, The Burren, as well as day trips to Doolin, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and Galway. Lots of great outdoor activities in the area. Nearby Kinvara has shopping, traditional music sessions and a farmer's market . Linnane's seafood restaurant just down the road is fantastic - you can literally watch them bring the catch of the day up from the water to the kitchen! Highly recommend Bayfield House for a group gathering in Clare!

We stayed in Bayfield for a week in August. There were lots of us but the house was never crowded. The kitchen is really big with a massive table that comfortably sits 12. There are quite a few places to relax in the house including a big sitting room with a nice wood burning stove and a lovely sunny garden room. It is clearly used by the owners as the house is really well equipped with lots of personal touches. Definitely feels like a "home from home". Bayfield is surrounded by the rolling limestone hills of the Burren and the house has beautiful views of Galway Bay. There is good swimming at Flaggy Shore (a 5 minute walk away) and the famous seafood pub, Linnane's, is 5 minutes walk in the other direction. Kinvara, the local town is a great place to visit with a lovely old harbour overlooked by an old castle and lots of classic pubs. County Clare is famous for its music and most pubs will have visiting musicians. Max was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful with lots of recommendations and information (we got a rib over to Galway which was brilliant). We will definitely be returning to Bayfield.
